Narayan Chamber of Policy (NCP) undertakes research assignments on various topics within the realm of digital economy. Any research begins with desk research, which comprises a review of existing studies, prevailing and proposed regulations/guidelines, international jurisprudence, opinion pieces by relevant stakeholders etc., on the subject.

Situation Analysis
It covers the prevailing regulatory landscape in a given sector, along with any proposed regulations. It also includes a brief analysis of the possible impact on various stakeholders, and usually concludes with recommendations for the way forward.
Comparative Analysis
As the name suggests, it entails a comparison of prevailing or upcoming regulations or business practices in different jurisdictions, i.e., different states, or different countries. It usually concludes with providing recommendations of good practices prevailing in different jurisdictions, in the local context.
SWOT Analysis
A regulatory SWOT (Strengths Weakness Opportunities Threats) Analysis focusses on a select regulation, and dives into its various aspects from a multi-stakeholder perspective. This also forms a part of Regulation Assessment.
