The chamber builds upon the legal legacy left behind by our lineage. Late Shri Achhru Ram, fondly called as ‘Rai Sahab’, retired as a Senior Subordinate Judge, Lahore, before partition of India. 

His son, Late Shri Ram Narayan, fondly called as ‘Jaini Sahab’, was posted as a Judge in various places in undivided Punjab, such as Lahore, Gujranwala, Jalandhar. After his retirement as a District and Sessions Judge, Ludhiana, he was appointed as an Arbitrator in various cases. 

His son, Late Shri Kanwal Narayan, Advocate, was into civil law practice for more than 50 years. His area of expertise was in rent control and eviction law, arbitration law, contract law, injunctions, suits for recovery of money, specific performance of contract, among others.

He passed on his practice to his son, Amitabh Narayan, built on which Narayan Chamber of Law was founded.

Shreya Narayan nee Jain, carries with her, the legacy of her Grandfather, Late Dr. (Prof) M.P. Jain, who was a noted jurist of Constitutional Law and a coveted luminary in the fields of Administrative Law, and Indian Legal History. (Read More)
